SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES
The 2007 entry period ends on October 1st, 2007
Please note, we only accept submission screeners on DVD in NTSC All films must be clearly labeled and accompanied with a completed entry form. Any entry form that is incomplete may be subject to dismissal by the Festival. All submissions must be in the office before the deadline dates. All DVD's must be Region 1 US capable. Foreign language films must be dubbed or subtitled in English. Please ensure that all screeners are complete and work correctly before submitting. The Big Bear Horror Film Fest cannot accept PAL format in any medium. Submissions will be returned if accompanied by a self addressed prepaid mailer. While the Big Bear Horror Film Festival has no age restrictions on filmmakers submitting, all filmmakers under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian co sign the application form.

All submissions received after the October 1st deadline will be considered for the following year's festival. All entry fees must be in US Currency only. Checks or money orders must be made out to "Big Bear Horror Film Festival". Festival entry fees are
non-refundable.

SHIPPING
Cost of shipping to the Big Bear Horror Film Festival is the sole responsibility of the entrant. Exhibition copies must be sent to the Festival prepaid.
All DVD must be CLEARLY labeled with the title of the entry, and contact information.
The Festival cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of materials while in transit.
The Big Bear Horror Film Festival will not
return any submitted entry unless accompanied by a self-addressed prepaid postage package.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
Programming decisions are made by the Festival directors and a selection committee. If your film is chosen to screen, you will
be notified . All entries selected grant the Festival the right to use audio, video, and still images for promotional materials. The Festival will request any artwork or promotional material for the film for use on the website and all promotional materials.


COMPETITION AWARDS
The Big Bear Horror Film Festival is a competition program. A Festival jury will present awards to selected films in the
following categories:
- Best Feature Film
- Best Short Film
- Best Cinematography
- Best Special Effects
- Best Actor / Actress
- Best Screenplay for films showcased
- Audience Choice



FESTIVAL FACTS
The Big Bear Horror Film Festival is dedicated to the horror film community and encourages filmmakers to submit to other festivals. A list of participating Special Events, Guests, Press and Distribution companies will be announced prior to the event.
